A first step of the engagement was for Nucleus to evaluate a number of different CMS candidates for the site, which had previously been based on a bespoke system. EPiServer best matched P&O Cruises challenging requirements with its highly user-friendly, intuitive system which cuts development time. EPiServer will also enable P&O Cruises' non-technical staff to easily manage – create, update and upload - new content on its website.
Peter Matthews, Nucleus' Managing Director, said: "EPiServer is a first class CMS that is just right for this project. We now look forward to joining EPiServer's official partner programme which will give us access to its developer community and enable us to achieve cost-savings as we deploy EPiServer for other sites".
P&O Cruises is just one of thousands of organisations and companies of all sizes around the world who are saving time and money by using EPiServer to manage their websites and intranets. These include Mazda Europe, Setanta Sports and Le Creuset as well as charities such as Save The Children. Two new commercial sites built using EPiServer CMS go live every 24 hours.
EPiServer will be exhibiting at the Internet World show in London this week.
Neal Perry, Country Manager of EPiServer UK & Ireland said: "Nucleus joins a very strong community of EPiServer partners which includes some of the largest and most well known agencies in Europe. They all recognize that our platform is a straightforward way to create websites which engage the visitor and are easy to manage. Through the combination of CMS and social media we continue to make life easier for designers, developers and the non-technical people who update content and open new ways to improve the on-line presence of all types of organisations."
