The service supports both plain URL uptimes as well as scenario-based checks, e.g. business critical functions and processes like a sign-up process or an order process.
The service offers a unique drill-down ability where you can see individual results per application component and thus identify the bottlenecks of your web application. Multiple agents for measurements are used and – depending on your preference – multiple geographical locations – and/or private/local agents.
From availability to performance
Most suppliers of monitoring services track basic availability, i.e. uptime, which answers the basic question whether a website is “up” or “down”. Apica WebPerformance™ tracks performance and gives you a much more detailed view of the experience you are delivering to your users. You’ll be able to answer such questions as:
- What is the average response time a user will experience?
- Is the response time stable over time or are there big variations?
- Which are my slowest pages?
- How does response time vary with load/number of visitors?
Apica WebPerformance™ gives you detailed and accurate data on the user experience and the quality of your web performance.
Accurate data when and where you need it
Apica WebPerformance™ has been designed to let both non-technical business managers and the tech people get the information they need. Their service is set up and managed via an easy-to-use web interface. You will receive periodic as well as event-driven reports to your inbox or via SMS.
There are two ways of getting access to the service:
- Direct – Go directly to the web service dedicated to EPiServer partners.
- Plugin – Download and install the Apica Add-on which gives you access via the EPiServer admin interface.
